The University of South Carolina’s School of Medicine Greenville is seeking a motivated and experienced administrative professional to join our team as Administrative Coordinator in the Department of Biomedical Sciences.
Under the direction of the Chair of the Department of Biomedical Sciences, the Administrative Coordinator will serve as the primary administrative support for the Biomedical Sciences department including specified functions for the Chair, faculty, and students. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures for all functions of the office. This individual will be the primary administrative support for the Chair to include preparing draft communications, minutes and reading/proofreading documents and program information, and managing search committee documents and scheduling meetings. Assists senior level faculty directors designated by Chair. Purchases supplies and materials and makes payment for memberships and conference registrations for Chair, department, faculty, administration, and staff using department PCard and reconciles monthly statements. Processes check requests and reimbursements utilizing PeopleSoft. Assists with faculty grants as directed by Chair, including managing grant budgets, disbursements, reimbursements, and grant reporting. Manages and monitors faculty professional funds and resolves related challenges. Provides professional funds reports. Coordinator will organize and facilitate departmental projects, maintain department files and databases, and perform other duties as needed.
