As an on-site intern, you will support the immediate post-launch activities of our first product, the mōmi baby bottle. It is an exciting time for you to gain ample firsthand knowledge of the range of work associated with bringing a new product to market successfully.
You will not only obtain valuable startup experience at the intersection of healthcare and consumer goods but will also have access to dedicated coaching and mentorship from mōmi’s seasoned and passionate founding team. Carr Lane Quackenbush, our co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer, is the ex-President of Medela Inc., a leading global breast pump company. Our co-founder and CEO, Hal Eason, holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and worked in the Private Equity Group of Bain & Company before embarking on his entrepreneurial career. Dina Carey, our Director of Marketing, is an entrepreneur in her own right, having founded the lactation bar company Nourisher. Our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Meg Alden, is a practicing pediatrician and a biomedical engineer.
Why Momtech Inc.?
We are a seed-stage infant feeding technology startup in Charlotte, NC. Our mission is to make life better for moms and their babies with our revolutionary patented momtech™ technologies for “the breast pump that works like a baby” and “the bottle that works like a mom.” Invented by the former president of the world’s leading breast pump company, our products are the first of their kind to solve big problems for moms and their babies by replicating the biomechanical function of natural nursing.
About the role:
We are looking for a highly motivated intern who is ready to hit the ground running starting from Day 1. You will work closely with the CEO, the Director of Marketing, and the Director of Customer Experience. You will be assigned a number of responsibilities pertaining to various aspects of the business, which may include marketing, customer analytics, regulatory compliance, HR, supply chain management, and customer support. Even if your eventual work assignments do not touch on all the previously mentioned functions, the leadership team will expose you to the other aspects of the company to maximize your learning experience.

The leadership will also take into account your personal strengths and objectives and the skills you might hope to develop during this internship. Because we are an early-stage startup, you should be comfortable wearing many hats, which will in turn provide you with exceptional and unparalleled growth opportunities as you learn new skills.
A few of the tasks you might do include:
+Analyze and graph data collected from initial customers to drive insights to inform further product development and marketing
+Coordinate communications with suppliers and regulatory agencies
+Conduct customer support calls to help moms have good experiences using the mōmi bottles

+Strong problem solving skills
+Adaptability and open-mindedness to tasks outside of your comfort zone
