Prepare conceptual cost plans for construction projects.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Meet project funding requirements to ensure positive project cash flow.
Identify cost trends and make recommendations to project managers.
Work with PM’s, Architects and Designers to identify value engineering options.
Interact with the project manager for managing objectives, goals and performance as well as working with designers and architects to deliver on project objectives.
Maintain database of cost history.
Evaluate project results and report project performance to internal and external stake holders.
Prepare construction budget tracking reports to show cost to date vs. original budget.
Manage vendor relationships and document flow.
A minimum of B.S. or B.A. degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Accounting, Finance, Project Management or Engineering. Experience in the performance of the key responsibilities listed will be considered.
Experience/knowledge of the construction industry, preferred.
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of project controls principles relating to budgeting, tracking of actual/committed costs, change control and forecasting, and financial principles.
Advanced Excel capabilities
Proficient use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to function and work independently.
Must be able to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, clients and others as required for the job.
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage complex projects with multiple work phases.
Ability to work established schedule and other hours as needed.
Occasional travel for work may be required.
Minimum 3-5 years experience required.
