The Social Worker II (LMSW) provides counseling and discharge planning to the families of patients on the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Kennedy Krieger Institute. The program serves children, adolescents and young adults who are admitted for interdisciplinary rehabilitation services. The patient population is primarily comprised of those who have congenital or developmental disabilities and may require care following orthopedic surgery, those with acute injuries such as traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury, those with chronic pain, and other developmental conditions. The Clinical Social Worker I will primarily assist the patient’s caregiver(s) during the admission, and/or the patient if they are an adult.
