The Supervision Climate Committee (SCC) is a Federal Reserve System-wide committee charged with developing and implementing a supervisory program to address climate-related financial risks to supervised firms. The broad goals of the SCC are to ensure the resilience of supervised firms to climate-related financial risks and to increase the Federal Reserve’s engagement and influence in the domestic and international dialogue around climate risk.
The Summer Intern to the Supervision Climate Committee will provide support in developing a supervisory program to address climate-related financial risks to supervised firms. Primary responsibilities may include performing analysis work to better understand climate-related risks, attending and taking meeting notes for engagement with a variety of stakeholders from the private and official sector, and researching various climate-related topics.
Over the course of the internship, the intern will gain in-depth knowledge of the unique characteristics of climate-related financial risks and a broad range of exposure to stakeholders both within the outside of the Federal Reserve System.
Qualified candidates should possess the following:
• The ability to clearly, accurately and concisely communicate orally and in writing
• Major in economics, finance, or accounting. Preferred candidates will also have completed coursework in environmental studies and/or public policy
• Experience performing quantitative and/or qualitative analyses
• Be self-motivated and able to work well with others
Minimum level of education desired: College Junior

This internship can be completed virtually. US Citizenship is required for all Board internships and applicants must be current students, graduating from their program fall 2022 or later.
