The City of Westminster seeks an organized and detail oriented individual to fill the role of City Clerk to provide high-level administrative support to the City Administrator, the Mayor, and Common Council; ensuring the efficient preparation and maintenance of official City records; and coordinating and overseeing City elections. Duties include, but not limited to, preparing and distributing meeting agendas and packets, attending Mayor and Common Council meetings, drafting and maintaining official meeting minutes, maintains liens and lien releases and serving as the Public Information Officer (PIO).
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Communications, Finance, or related field. 5-7 years of administrative experience preferably in government and serving as a City Clerk. An equivalent combination of education, training, and related experience will be considered. Certified Municipal Clerks (CMC) designation preferred.
Starting salary range for this full-time, exempt position is $56,863.21 – $74,055.97. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance and Maryland State Retirement and Pension System plan.
