The Arrow Center for Education – Tangram, a separate day school that provides full day special education and related services to students ages 8- 21 years, is seeking a Special Education Teacher – Autism. As a Special Education Teacher, you will transform the lives of students in need of intensive individualized academic and behavioral services by being primarily responsible for implementing required curricula and carrying out the Individualized Education Programs of assigned students. Your strong desire to help special needs students will be essential as you provide direct instruction to both individuals and small groups. As an active member of the treatment team, your attention to detail as you evaluate your students will be pivotal in developing the best plan for their success. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Master’s Degree in Special Education and a valid state Professional Teaching Certificate. At least one (1) year of teaching experience in special education with students diagnosed with autism. Advanced Professional Certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license
- Proof of current Auto Registration, Inspection and Insurance
- Driving Record (three years) from the state in which the driver’s license is valid
- Must submit to and pass health screening and TB clearances
- Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must submit to and pass random drug tests during employment
- Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state
- Must be 21 years of age or older
