Internship with Delegate Kathy Tran
Virginia State Delegate Kathy KL Tran seeks Legislative Interns for her office serving Virginia’s 42nd House District in Southeast/Southern Fairfax County. This part-time internship is an exciting public service opportunity to fight for progressive policies in Virginia.
State legislatures are at the forefront of protecting and expanding our most fundamental rights, like voting, healthcare, and reproductive choice, as well as taking climate action, achieving economic justice, and creating a welcoming community. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to engage directly with the state legislative process and meet the needs of the people of the 42nd District.
This internship takes place during Virginia’s legislative session, and it starts January 10 through March 13. Interns would help with all aspects of office operations, such as researching and preparing for bill hearings, drafting correspondence, responding to constituent requests, and conducting administrative tasks. We can be flexible on schedule but hope that each intern would be able to serve a minimum of 8 hours/week.
The deadline to apply is December 31st.
