The SAIS Global Careers Digital Assets Event is intended to provide students with an array of perspectives on the key issues and opportunities in this field. Digital assets have been taking an ever more prominent role in financial markets in recent years, with their expanding capitalization, mainstream acceptance, and utility requiring attention from investors, business leaders, and policymakers alike. Recent developments have revealed a stark divide in opinions over the role that digital assets can and should play in our evolving financial ecosystem, as different stakeholders press divergent views on the proper balance of regulation, state involvement, and innovation. More talent is entering this exciting arena from each side in this debate, and their work will shape the future of digital finance for the decades to come.
