Job Summary:
The Sr. Director of IT has overall responsibility for the configuration, implementation, maintenance and support of the organization’s technological infrastructure. This position directs and manages the strategic direction of the technology organization to best support operational effectiveness of the organization. They serve as a key business partner to the Core Leadership Team of the organization and reports directly to the COO. The Sr. Director of IT executes the information technology strategies for UCP with key areas of focus on policy and strategic IT planning and support to the company, workflow and team management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads strategic technological development to achieve business goals by providing initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future technologies and products ensuring future growth in a progressive manner.
- Provide leadership in evaluating existing and new business needs in the coordination of IT and processes necessary to allow smooth and efficient operations.
- Manage the internal company IT infrastructure, ensuring stability, reliability and quality performance while responding rapidly to issues/problems as they arise.
- Directly supervises IT staff. Provides appraisals, counseling, delegating, developing and coaching of employees.
- Design, deploy and maintain the organization’s LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, switches, IP telephony and multifunction printers.
- Ensures all systems are continually running, secure and properly backed up through the establishment of strong IT principles.
- Set goals, create and manage projects and budgeted costs.
- Develop and enforce proper IT polices, standards and security procedures.
- Plans and implements additions, deletions and modifications to current software and hardware in an effective and efficient manner.
- Assures help desk support services are delivered in the most effective manner to all user groups and locations.
- Ensure effective communication across all areas of UCP with management, customers and suppliers.
- Act as a source of direction, training and guidance for team members
- Ensure inventory control for all assigned resources.
- Coordinate E-Rate reimbursement with supplies/consultants.
- Responsible for the daily maintenance of Firewalls, whitelists, blacklists, and traffic management
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications
Education and Training: (or equivalent)
BA degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology or Network Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Minimum Experience:
7 years of senior level IT/Network Administration Experience
