Reporting to the Software Project Lead or a Senior Software Developer, this temporary position is responsible for software development, software defect resolution, and possibly some software testing. All to be accomplished in compliance with the Software Quality Management System.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned. • Design, implement, and unit test software for AutoChem software products. • Analyze and solve technical problems. • Troubleshoot software defects and develop and test software bug fixes. • Participate in requirements engineering activities for new software products or tools. • Develop and/or review formal test cases for software products • Develop software development project artifacts (documents). EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE • Pursuing/possess Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or other technical field; • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment; • Exposure to the design and development of software in a Windows environment; • Exposure to programming languages (knowledge of C# and WPF a plus); • Exposure to the use of OO and software development lifecycle techniques; • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; • Excellent communication, technical writing, and interpersonal skills. • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, and incident tracking tools a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATH SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
