5 Ways Alumni Can Get Involved with the Life Design Lab

By Madeline Amonick, Communications Assistant, JHU Class of ’21 In our most humble opinion, we have the greatest alumni network in the world! How do we know this? Because we noticed that amazing networking, mentoring, and skill-building happens when we connect our talented students to our knowledgable network of alumni. Are you an alum wondering how you can get involved? We have a plethora of ways you can connect!

Let A Student Shadow You Through The “Host A Jay Program”

Much like the rest of the world, 2021 brings many uncertainties. Regardless, we intend to provide our students with opportunities to explore their futures. To accommodate as many alumni and students as possible we look forward to creating both in-person and online experiences all around the country. If you are interested in participating or learn more, fill out this survey.

Join OneHop

OneHop is the first and last place you need to look if you are interested in connecting directly with students. This Hopkins-exclusive networking platform streamlines the mentorship process. Whether it be the beginning of a long meaningful mentorship or just answering a few questions about your post-grad experience, OneHop provides a variety of meaningful ways to connect with students. Check out this OneHop Walk-Through for Students to see how they benefit from alumni expertise. Learn more and create a profile here: onehop.jhu.edu

Host an Instagram Takeover

Take-over our Instagram story for a day! Answer questions, show us a day in your life, and interact with the community. This opportunity is perfect for our alumni social media mavens!

Collaborate with a Life Design Educator

Every week, our Life Design Educators (LDEs) create meaningful and informational programming. The new structure of the Life Design Lab integrates LDEs into academic departments and offices. Represent your Hopkins experience and beyond through where you started or where you ended up! Connect with a specific LDE to inquire about upcoming opportunities.

Get Highlighted On Our Social Media

We are looking to spotlight different alumni to share their experiences and celebrate their success! Reach out to us to be featured or share announcements on our LinkedinFacebookTwitter, and Instagram!
